FAQs
Cold Plunge, also known as an ice bath, involves immersing the body in water at a temperature of 32–59°F for 2–10 minutes for recovery and overall well-being. The ideal temperature and duration should be adjusted according to individual health status and training experience, with different guidelines for beginners and professional athletes.
Our cold plunge chiller features a built-in filtration system that keeps the water clean during use.
You can also use a cold plunge–safe water sanitizer or filter cleaning solution regularly.
You can maintain water quality by:
Running the filtration system daily
Adding a small amount of sanitizer weekly
Showering before use
Keeping the tub covered when not in use
Recommended sanitizer levels:
Hydrogen Peroxide: 30–50 ppm
Chlorine (if used): 1–3 ppm
Cold plunges are typically used after exercise to reduce soreness and inflammation while supporting recovery. Some people use them before workouts to boost alertness, but this may temporarily reduce strength and increase stiffness. Usage depends on your goals.
A cold plunge usually lasts 2–10 minutes, while beginners should start with 30–60 seconds. If you have heart or blood pressure conditions, consult your doctor before use and avoid sudden hot water exposure afterward.
Beginners should ease into cold plunging gradually and safely. Avoid water that is too cold or soaking for extended periods. Start at 50–59°F with short immersions of 30–60 seconds, focusing on steady breathing. If you feel dizzy, experience chest pain, or notice severe discomfort, exit immediately.

Absolutely. Our cold plunge chiller comes with a built-in pump and filter, making it easy to build a DIY cold plunge system at home. Use water chiller with your bathtub and enjoy the benefits of cold therapy while eliminating the need for an additional cold plunge tubs purchase.
Our cold plunge chiller is compatible with most ice bath and cold plunge tubs. It comes with 1/2-inch water hoses that fit the majority of tub connectors on the market. The cold plunge unit also includes a submersible pump, making it suitable for various ice tub types. Simply place the pump into the water—no connector limitations required.
Our water chillers and cold plunge tubs are designed for portability, allowing you to enjoy ice baths both indoors and outdoors.
If used outside, we recommend placing the unit on a patio or balcony to minimize rain exposure. Prolonged direct contact with rainwater without protection may lead to rust or component damage.
Additionally, we do not recommend operating the cold plunge chiller outdoors in freezing conditions. When temperatures fall below 32°F, the water may remain sufficiently cold without additional chilling.
Our cold plunge units are UL-certified and IPX8-rated, ensuring safe and reliable operation.
Once the target temperature is reached, you can turn off the water chiller and continue your ice bath session. The water temperature will not rise significantly within the next 10 minutes, helping maintain the cold therapy effect.
